What am I if not Chinese?

My last name is Jung afterall....and not the Carl kind. To many of you last Sunday was Valentine's Day, but that's not all it was. It was also Chinese New Year and so of course that is what we celebrated. (let's keep our priorities straight)

So, in keeping with the spirit of things I decided to make crispy gau gee. (not to be confused with soggy gau gee)

Do I look like a pro? That's because I am.

Even Wendito (his official Chinese name) was pleased.

Would you like the recipe? Sorry, it's an ancient Chinese secret.

  1. I just love your sense of humor Sondra! Your blog always puts a smile on my face. If Wendell were Mexican he would also be called Wendito....little Wendell!

  11. Aunty Sondra, you are so funny. It's also even more funny that you are making crispy gau gee and Uncle Wendito is tasting it to make sure you've followed his ancient chinese secret recipe.
