Quick stop over

On my way home from Illinois I stopped over in Utah to visit Kathleen. Even though I was only there for the weekend we had a great time and I was able to meet several of her friends. Friday, while she was in class, I ran into my niece Lexie in the Wilkinson Center. I ended up eating lunch with her and her sisters Mallory and Chelsea. It was really fun because they always make me laugh.
The entire time I was there I kept forgetting to take pictures, but here are a few I did take.

Every year BYU puts on a luau in March I think. Kathleen is dancing the couples hula (I can't remember the Hawaiian word for it) and Tahitian. Here she is with her partner on Saturday morning. That's Kanani Ing and her fiance on the left. They look really cute together.

After she finished practice we drove to Park City since I had never been. The drive through the canyon was really nice except for the insane person behind the wheel.

Well, actually she was my favorite part....I know she will be happy about this picture. Don't you love the way she is keeping her eyes on the road?

I took this picture because I was amazed by the frozen waterfall. The icicles were huge!

I didn't remember to take any pictures at Park City until we were leaving. Here is one to document that we were really together. It snowed like crazy while we were walking around. I loved it, but I thought I was going to die.

That's the ski lift behind Kathleen. There were tons of skiers, but of course not in this picture. We also ate huge amounts of Mexican food for lunch. I should have taken a picture of that since I'm pretty sure that's why most people go to Park City.
On Sunday I went to Kathleen's student ward with her. If you have never been to a student ward at BYU you should go sometime. It was nice to see a bunch of college students in dresses and white shirts and ties participating in church because they chose to be there. They were impressive.
I also went to Sacrament meeting with my niece Chelsea (I was feeling extra religious that day)since she is always fun to sit with, plus her husband Burke was conducting and I wanted to see him. Kathleen and I stayed and ate dinner with them too. I really should have taken pictures there since I flooded their kitchen while I was washing dishes. They were very nice about it and the dinner turned out really good. They even let me spend the night with them.
The next day I went to the bookstore while Kathleen went to class. Then we grabbed some lunch at the Museum of Art before she drove me to the airport. It was a little strange, but nice, to visit her in a place where she lives and I don't. She seemed so grown up.
Weird.

  10. I got the see Kathleen for about 30 seconds last weekend in Utah. I went up for the weekend with my friend Amy. I also got the meet her boy and I believe I was sucessful at saying every embarrassing thing I could about Kathleen in about 5 seconds. It was good fun for me, I'm not so sure about for her!
