Today, July 22, is my mom's birthday and I hope she has a great one because she is the best mom ever. Really. Anyone that knows her will tell you what a great person she is. Let me just tell you a little bit about her. First she is an awesome cook. I can look in the fridge and think, "nothing to eat." She can look in the same fridge and make a gourmet meal. Just ask my dad. Her house is always spotless, probably due to the fact that she never sits still. She is always baking something to take to someone. I know this because when I was growing up I didn't dare eat a piece of pie without first asking if it was for us or someone else. She did all of this after coming home from a full day of work, but was also always interested in whatever it was we wanted to talk to her about. And she was, and still is, the best looking mom around. I have always said that I hope I look as good as she does when I am her age. Not anymore. Now I just wish I looked as good right now as she does.

Many of my friends know that she shops for me because she is just better at it. This is a picture she sent when she was trying to find me something to wear to Matthew's wedding. Now whenever I am wearing something to work that looks good people will ask me if my mom sent it to me. Several people have asked if she would like to adopt them..jpg)

Now my mom is probably going to be thrilled that I included these two pictures, but they represent one of the best things about her. When I am with her I probably laugh more than I do with just about anyone else. We were laughing so hard at that rain bonnet she had on. You had to be there.....

She looks like she never ages! Happy birthday to your mom. She really is a looker. I see where you get your looks from. I also see Kathleen's face in your mother's face. . .or vice versa. . .especially in the side profile pics. I think it's the smile. They have the same smile.
ReplyDeleteMy mom shops for me too! Most of my church clothes is from my mom. She goes shopping on the mainland during business trips. Some times I'm afraid to wear some of the things she brings back but when I do, I get compliments. I guess she has better taste than I do.
