Christmas Day with the Jungs

This year Christmas Day was a little different for us, not a lot, just a little. We were really excited that Wendell got to be home all day! So, we decided to wait for Matthew, Kat, and Evalyn to come over at 3:00 before we opened our gifts. Wendell always likes to make a big breakfast when he's home on holidays. You can see Kathleen and him enjoying their Portuguese sausage, eggs, and rice here. Can you tell they are related? I know Kathleen will be thrilled that I posted this picture.
Ryan's friend from school, Ian, came over and spent the day with us. He and Ryan were having an intense bowling match on the wii. (is bowling a match?)

Wendell, Ryan, and Ian loading the car for the annual Christmas Luau at Kehau's house.
We were in charge of bringing the drinks.

Wendell and Evalyn waiting for the festivities to begin.

We made everyone go upstairs so that Santa could come.
Can you guess which stocking I got for Kat?

The little stocking used to be Kika's so we let Evalyn use it this year.

Matthew's favorite gift was this jacket Ryan got him from Goodwill for $10. I don't really understand, but the boys seem to.

Evalyn got a new ball that makes noises and lights up. Her favorite thing to do with it is try to bite the little ribbons that stick out of the top.

Ian received this lovely pink sweater, but since it was a bit too small he let Evalyn have it.

Ian seemed more excited about it then she did.

Some of the group at the Christmas Luau. That's Sean, Ryan, Michelle, and Kathleen.
More of the group. Normally we eat in the backyard under their pavillion, but this year it was rainy so we stayed in the garage.
Wendell trying the dessert.
Merry Christmas!

  4. We should all use our garages more often. I always think that after returning from Hawaii. Now I know why Wendell always kept such a clean garage. It is like the dining room/family room.
