25 Years

I have been married to Wendell, and he has been married to me, for 25 years today. It is amazing how quickly those years have gone. I can't say there isn't anything I wouldn't change, but I can say that I would only change them if I could still be with Wendell.
I actually had very long straight hair when we were dating, but for some unknown reason I decided to get a perm a couple of weeks before the wedding. (I would advise against this for any of you that are contemplating marriage.) The hair perm sort of went along with the entire theme for the day, which turned out to be "if it can go wrong, it will go wrong." There was a blackout on the entire island that day, so I couldn't do my hair. And, the zipper on my wedding dress broke, my sister forgot her temple recommend, and Wendell forgot my wedding ring. It all worked out fine though. We are still married and we have a better story than if everything had gone as planned.

The best part is what the past 25 years has brought us.
Thanks Wendell.
I love you truly.

  4. I don't know who put the post that said your hair didn't look that bad, but she is being really nice. I remember that day and your hair did look pretty bad. Leave to your sweet sister to tell the truth. You look great now and have a wonderful family too. Congrats!

  5. I wish that Burke and I would have taken a picture poking our heads around a tree. I can't believe you didn't suggest that.

  6. I agree with Nance, that was some ugly hair! It was still a very happy day and obviously the beginning of a very happy life together. Happy Anniversary, I love you both.

PS...Sorry about forgetting my recommend. It proved to be a good lesson cause I've never done it again. :)

  7. Happy Anniversary!! Isn't this the silver anniversary? I guess that means you can buy new forks or or get matching piercings or something. Anywho, I hope you got to celebrate.

And your hair is very lovely now, at least.

  9. Okay,I have to clarify something. The hair doens't look that bad. . .for the time period. I think it resembles the Ferrah Fawcett look. And wasn't that a popular hair style back then? =)
