A New Year

I think everyone should get to start the new year off spending the day at the beach with their family. We normally like to go to Waimea Bay on Christmas day, but this year it was overcast and rainy so we didn't go. This is January 4, a Monday. Wendell had the day off and the kids weren't back in school yet. Kathleen's flight back to Provo wasn't until 11:30 that night, so we headed for the beach. It was a beautiful day with a lovely little breeze.

That's my empty chair there.
See, here I am. Colette, do you recognize those sunglasses?

Kat looks really good for having a 5 month old baby I think.

This is Kathleen and Wendell body surfing. Matthew is flying.

Ryan wanted to use his water casing for his video camera, but then discovered he had forgotten a plate or something.

Evalyn was a little tired so Kat made her a sand bed.

All of the girls.

Most of the boys.

Evalyn was not amused with all of my picture taking.

When it was time to go Kathleen was pointing out where dad was. No, he didn't grow his hair out and decided to wear a blue speedo. He's the other person.

Happy New Year!

  1. Was this a really warm day because it looks like it? All these hot bodies in swimsuits I now feel like I need to bump up my workouts - thanks Kat and Kathleen - thanks alot! Nice speedo Wendito, I'll get Eric one so you can be twins.

  2. I think everyone should spend the new year at the beach too! We used to always go to Barber's on Christmas day and New years. Sigh, I wish we could, the snow is so not cutting it. And yes, Kat looks great for having a five-month old!

  3. You mean people actually don't go to the beach when the weather is bad? I will have to let Daniel know.
